On Tuesday February 15, 2022, the Lady Warriors basketball team played a tough game against Pepperell High School. The Lady Warriors stood their ground and took victory, advancing them to state. This is now the 5th consecutive year that the Lady Warriors will go to state. They led with a 50-37 ending score – senior Kim Passley scoring a total of 30 points! Kim Passley was then interviewed with the following questions:

“How does it feel to be advancing to state for the fifth year in a row?”

Kim: “It feels good just knowing that we are continuing what the people have done in the past four years.”

“How do you and your team stay determined for upcoming games?”

Kim: “We just think about the bright side, win or lose we will do better next time. We just have to keep our heads up.”

“Do you feel confident about the upcoming games?”

Kim: “Yeah, I mean we can be better than all the teams in the region when we play our hardest.”

The Lady Warriors will battle Fannin County Lady Rebels on Thursday February 17, 2022. The game will take place at Fannin County High School, around seven o’clock in the afternoon. The winner of this match will then advance to the region championship game on Friday February 18, 2022 at seven o’clock. The Lady Warriors are keeping their heads high and working hard to advance even further, carrying on the title of going to state for the fifth year in a row.
