Gordon Central High School Blue Wave Band is going to Albertville High School in Albertville, Alabama this Saturday, September 24, to perform at 4;40 pm, for a band competition. A band competition is when a group of bands that have similar rankings compete against each other, and get scored by judges based on their performance. Following the performance at 10pm there will be an award ceremony. The best scoring you can get is 1 and the worst you can get is a 5, according to Itzel Contreras – a Gordon Central Band participant.  This is going to be the first band competition since 2019 due to Covid, so everyone is really excited about it!!

UPDATE: Way to go Blue Wave Band. Straight superiors scores. 1st place Color Guard and 3rd place band. An outstanding day at the North Alabama Marching Invitational at Albertville High School. Now ready for round 2 next week at Murray County. Go Blue Wave Band!!
