Why do we have Martin Luther King Jr day?
This day honors MLK’s hard efforts and achievements. It also celebrates the equality in society that MLK always dreamed of.
It is very safe to say that the date January 16th is a very special date to all races in America, as it shows how far we’ve come and how close we are to having no segregation or racism in America.
Is there still racism in America?
It is sad to say there is still a long way to go before we completely get rid of racism, as there are still people who believe people of color shouldn’t have as many rights as white people. But, there are also many people who peacefully protest and genuinely want to make a change.
The world will never be perfect, and that’s alright, but we can still be the best version of ourselves to get the most out of the world.
