March 21 was a great day to be a GC Track Warrior!  Our girls’ team came in 1st place while the boys’ team placed 2nd!  Ideal running conditions resulted in several GC Track Warriors setting their personal bests (PBs) at the meet.  Led by Katerine Queju Hernandez with 3 PBs in the distance events, here’s a list of all those who set PBs (photos from the meet follow the list):

Katerine Queju Hernandez:  Almost 11 second PB in the 1600 – 6:33.  3 second PB in the 800 – 3:01.  15 second PB in the 3200 – 14:33.  Amazing night considering all were set in the distance events!

Jayden Daughtery: 9 inch PB in the long jump – 16’ – 8”

Johnathan Gonzalez:  29’ – 6” in the long jump!

Parker Chastain: 5” in shot put – 32’ – 8”

Madilyn Payne: almost 2 feet in discus – 67’ – 10”

Arwen Boyle: 6” in pole vault – 7’ – 0”!!

Hayden Autry: in pole vault 7’ – 6”

Vance Siburkis:  in pole vault 7’ – 0”

Boys 4 x 800 relay: lowered time by almost 20 seconds – 9:53!

Tiara Lawrence: 100 hurdles 4 tenths of a second – 20.06

Susan Palma:  100 hurdles – 21.03

Tyler Hedges:  110 hurdles – 34 tenths of a second – 20.43

Kaydence Garland:  1600 – 7:29

Owen Lowrance:  5 seconds in the 1600 – 5:22

Girls 4 x 100: 55.65

Jadon Harper: 400 – 57.85

Ashton Henson: over 2 seconds in the 300 hurdles – 47.54

Thomas Brandon:  300 hurdles – 56.00

Mario Martinez:  4 seconds in the 800 – 2:20

Yostin Reyes:  almost 5 seconds in the 800 – 2:34

Saul Garcia:  almost 7 seconds in the 800 – 2:38

Jordan Robertson:  800 – 3:05

Sierra Kennedy: a half a second in the 200 – 30.56

Brandon Thomas: 200 – 28.34

Gavin Holmes: almost 12 seconds in the 3200 – 16:40

Girls 4 x 400: one tenth of a second – 5:09

In addition to the PBs, several Warriors came in 1st in their events:
