After a tough injury haunted season the Atlanta braves have made the playoffs. They secured a wild card spot on September 30 after beating the Mets 3-0.

The Braves had lost their game before the one to clinch to playoffs 7-8 against the Mets. The next game would make or break the season. The game started off quickly with the Braves scoring a run in the second inning, with Jorge Soler hitting a double then stealing third and a single by Gil Urshela brought him home. Grant Holmes was taken out after the fourth inning after only allowing one hit.

Not much scoring happened in the game until the seventh inning with the Braves scoring two runs. after Albies got on base from a wild throw, and a base hit from Marcell Ozuna.

The key players that are currently injured are Austin Riley, Ronald Acuna Jr, and Spencer Strider.

The series will be tough as the Braves will face the Padres in their first series. who have a Cy Young candidate in Robert Suarez, and a good hitter in Manny Machado.
