Did you know that Ancient Egypt controlled the Mediterranean Coast? On October 11, 2025 scientists discovered a wall of a military fortress. The wall measures 105 meters in length. Another wall had a zig-zag pattern measuring 75 meters long, this wall was believed to separate housing. Researchers say it may be 3,500 years old.

It was found in the north area of the Sinai Desert. This fortress was believed to have been constructed under the rule of Thutmose, although it is unclear of which one. It was long the road called “Way of Horus”, named after the Egyptian God of the Sky and War.

The fortress seems to be well-preserved. The archeologists have found fossilized bread and remains of ovens. The Scientists believe, based on the pantries found in the fortress, it could hold anywhere from 400 to 700 soldiers with a comfortable 500 soldiers.
