2026 may be the year of movies for gamers and movie enthusiast alike. Many movies plan to make a release for this following year, popular franchises such as Scream and Star Wars to make a comeback, as well as the live creation of popular games featuring famous YouTuber Mark Fischbach with his film “Iron Lung” that he not only directed and funded, but will be starring in.

In late January, Mark Fischbach otherwise known by his online personality Markiplier, will release his horror film based on the game “Iron Lung” made by David Szymanski. This film would also have cameos of Szymanski and Seán McLoughlin, otherwise known as Jacksepticeye. Another popular and large fan-based game “Silent Hill” where a movie will release on January 23 with the name of “Return of Silent Hill”. Another popular horror game with the name of “The Mortuary Assistant” plans to make a release on February 13. A live creation of the hit game made by Brian Clarke. Some old yet popular video games are also planning to make a release such as “Street Fighter” as well as “Mortal Kombat II.”

Following the movies of February, Scream 7 plans to make an entrance on February 27, a sequel to the other 6 movies but will have a special guest return from the original movie, otherwise known as Matthew Lillard. The Avengers franchise plan to release a few new movies such as “Avengers: Doomsday.” Star Wars plans to release yet another movie “The Mandalorian and Grogu.” A new “Supergirl” movie plans to come out on June 26, a Spider-Man movie with the title of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31.

As for the more kiddy side of movies, a new Toy Story movie plans to release as a sequel to the other four. “Toy Story 5” will release on June 19. Disney plans to create a live action of the movie Moana July 10.
