Exciting news, Gordon Central High School presents Coach Blizzard as the new head football coach for the upcoming season. After being at Gordon Central for four years, and coaching for all four of them, Blizzard has worked his way to head coaching.

An interview with Coach Blizzard:

We asked Coach Blizzard if becoming a head coach was a long-term goal for him, he replied  “Honestly, I never saw myself as a head coach, but the opportunity came along and I decided that right now was a good time to do it, so I took the advantage of it and interviewed for the job and was glad that I got it.”

When asked how becoming a head coach affected him, he responded with “I don’t know so much if its affected me, I mean there’s nothing that’s going to change about me, the only thing that’s really changed is I’ve been with these guys now for four years, and the only difference is now their going to see me in a leadership role instead of being an assistant coach.’’

Lastly, when asked about what his goals for the upcoming season were, he said, “The upcoming season is the same as every year, starts off with a new team, we want to be physical, play hard, play fast, but we want to play smart football and just continue to grow into things that we’ve been doing over the last four years.”

For the 2025-2026 season, the Warriors came 4th in region with a win loss record of 7-4. With the 2026-2027 season, we can only hope to grow under the excellent coaching of Coach Blizzard and the rest of the coaching staff!
