As of early March 2026, Victor Blackwell recently traveled to Alaska to experience dog sledding and to test his mushing skills. The 54th running of the Iditarod Dog Sledding Race kicked off over the weekend. Teams of dedicated sled dogs and their mushers were traversing the state’s rugged wilderness in the bid to be TOP DOGS! Quick history, the race is named for the Iditarod Trail, a famous route sledders to deliver medicine and supplies to the City of Gnome, during a 1925 Diphtheria outbreak,  Victor Blackwell shared on social media that he “crashed on my first dog’s sledding adventure” but overall had a good time.
