Why are teenagers always on their phones? You might think that the are lazy for being on their phones a lot, but the reality is that teenagers are at school for around seven hours five days a week, and if they are more introverted than their classmates or do not really like their classmates then school could not be fun for them. It could especially if they do not know anyone in their class and do not really know how to make friends. They might try to find a “escape” from the fact that they don’t have many friends in person by using apps that allows the user to dm (direct message) others to try to connect and find friends similar to them people that like the same hobbies, interests in the same games or shows/ movies, like the same music or people that are similar to them, apps like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook/ Messenger (they are linked together), and Discord are some of the apps that allow users to dm others. Taking their phones, internet, or putting a screen time on their phones because of their room is not clean, grades not being good, or not getting their chores done fast enough can have a negative effect on their productivity or mental state due to the fact you are taking the one thing they talk to friends on if they are online friends or if their friends moved away. By taking that they might start feeling resentment towards you and they might start having an attitude towards you or not wanting to be helpful and do things that you ask them to do if they are the one that you always ask to do something for you.
