Hello Warriors, as all of you know we have had new changes to Gordon Central. Meet Mrs. Chandler!

This week I interviewed Mrs. Chandler and found out she came from Ashworth Middle School. Here are some things to know about one of our new amazing teacher’s:

Five Fun Facts:

•Mrs. Chandler has two daughters!

• Taught in Gordon County schools except for one year!

• Loves to travel!

• Loves to learn about history!

• Grew up in Mississippi and went to Mississippi State University!

While chatting with Mrs. Chandler I asked the following questions to get to know more about what kind of teacher she is.

1.) How do you like working at Gordon Central? “I Love it”

2.) How long have you been a teacher for in general? “I have taught for 25 years, but taught 20 years of ELA.”

3.) Have you always wanted to be a teacher? “I loved playing school when I was a child; eventually, I took a class and realized it’s what I wanted to do.”

4.) How did you come to the conclusion that you wanted teaching to become your career? “My parents never really were at the house because they were in the medical field, so I knew I wanted to have a flexible schedule for my soon-to-be kids. I also loved working with children.”

5.) What would you tell a teacher when coming to Gordon Central? “That it takes a lot o

f patience, it’s not easy, and can be sad at times because you can’t always help people. But it’s so rewarding to see my students do amazing things in the future!”
