The first clue can be found in the weekend name Friday, which is derived from old English and means “day of Frigg.” Frigg (known as Frigga) was assoaiatied with love, marriage, and motherhood.
The number 13, meanwhile, has been long regarded as a portentous number by pre-Christian and goddess-worshipping culture.
