College football’s potential playoff bracket has been released. The teams with the first round byes are Oregon(1) ,Texas(2) , SMU(8), and Boise State (10). They are given byes because of the value of conference championships. The teams who will play in the first round are Penn State (3),  Notre Dame (4), Georgia (5), Ohio State (6), Tennessee (7), Indiana (9),Alabama (11), and Arizona State (15).

This is a new system this year with it being the first ever 12 team playoffs in college football history, the playoff usually being a 4 team bracket. This new system was placed to make more exciting playoffs with potential for Cinderella runs and more interesting games.
