This week were celebrating Billy Blizzard as are defensive coordinator of the year. Coach Blizzard has worked at Gordon Central for three years and has been coaching twenty-eight years and still stays in touch with some of his students.
Keelie: “What does it mean to be defensive coordinator?”
Billy Blizzard: “It was unexpected but nice and I’m grateful for it.”
KP: “What’s your favorite part of being a coach?”
BB: “Watching them mature and see where they go in life.”
KP: “Do you think of yourself as a hard worker?”
BB: “Yes, I feel like a hard worker.”
KP: “What’s your favorite football memory from this year?”
BB: “The teams first shutout in three years and seeing the excitement on the guys faces and the offence did an excellent job staying on the field and giving the points.”
KP: “What are you most appreciated of?”
BB: “The hard work the coaches and the team have shown.”
We all want to congratulate Coach Blizzard on the terrific job he is doing and continues to do for Gordon Central High School!
