On January 19th, 2025, like many people know, the Supreme Court will decide whether to ban the app “TikTok” owned by the company ByteDance. Many citizens are upset about this ban. On January 19th, the TikTok ban will go two ways. If the TikTok app gets banned, then the app will slowly die. This is because the app will no longer be able to be downloaded or updated. For example, the App Store, Google Play Store, etc. can get sued for still having the app on their application. Thus, making it impossible to continue using the app TikTok which will cause the downfall of TikTok.  Another scenario that could happen is that the ban on TikTok will get delayed. This would be fortunate news to the citizens of the U.S. that wish for TikTok to stay unbanned. This is because the future president Donald Trump stated that he would try his best to keep the app TikTok. Yet this does not mean that the app TikTok will continue to stay on the mobile phone of U.S. citizens. More Details about the ban will be available after January 19th of 2025.
