Currently around the United States there are many immigration laws that have been causing conflict in many states, specifically, Texas, California, and Florida. To look at these problems in my perspective, as a Hispanic, immigrants will always be the most thankful, and grateful people, everyone that is able to leave their home country does it for the sake of their kids and the sake of themselves. Many immigrants come to the United States for many reasons according to a poll, taken in 2021. 53% of immigrants came to the United States for a better economic opportunity. 29% percent came to the United Sates for freedom. finally 18% of immigrants came to the United States to flee violence. These statistics prove that many immigrants came for important reasons.
I decided to interview students around to school to hear their thoughts. The question I asked these students was, ” What are your thoughts of the new immigration laws that have a chance of being implemented.”
Makayla Colston “I think it is not necessary and unfair. God tells us we should love people no matter what so why we should ban people from where we live?”
Lashia Reyes thinks it’s unfair because immigrants pay for taxes and we are all equal but now it seems we’re getting separated.
Ellen Garcia thinks it’s unfair for the family that worked hard for the life they have here. and it’s sad to the families that are being separated from each other.
Khloe Howard “I think it’s unfair because most immigrants are hardworking ones”
