Gypsy-Rose Blanchards’s mother, Dee Dee, falsely claimed her daughter was suffering from different illnesses until Gypsy-rose asked her boyfriend to kill her mother in 2015. Gypsy-rose grew up with her mother Dee Dee, Gypsy’s mother made claims of her health condition, and dire diagnoses plus medical interventions. Gypsy didn’t really have a mental disorder, her mother lied about her symptoms. Dee Dee lied about a symptoms called “Munchausen syndrome” because her mother wanted to be a caretaker. Until, her lies were no more.

Gypsy-rose was born in July 1991, she was a baby when her mother claimed she had a sleep apnea, When she was 8 years old her mother described her suffering from leukemia. Her mother said that Gypsy needed a wheelchair and a feeding tube. Dee Dee so told people that she had symptoms like, seizures, asthma, hearing and visual impairments. Gypsy took medications and had to sleep using a breathing machine, she even went through surgeries, multiple surgeries, like procedures on her eyes and removal of her salivary glands. Gypsy’s teeth rotted from what said to be the medications, missing salivary glands, so they were pulled out. the truth was, Gypsy could walk and didn’t need a feeding tube or medications, and she didn’t have cancer.

in 2011 after all of this stuff Gypsy had enough of it, she tried to get away from her mother by running away with man she met at a science fiction convention. But, Dee Dee convinced the man that Gypsy was a minor even though she was 19 at this time, after the event they returned home. Dee Dee smashed her computer and restrained her to the bed, Gypsy also said that her mother would sometimes hit her and deny her food.

Gypsy-rose managed to get back online a while after, joining a Christian dating site, were she met a guy named Nicholas Godejohn. Gypsy stated to the man about her mothers fake actions to her and asked him to kill her mother for her, so they could be together. In June 2015 Nicholas came to their house, while Gypsy waited in the bathroom and covered her ears as Nicholas repeatedly stabbed Dee Dee in the back. Later on in Wisconsin at Nicholas’s house, they were caught and arrested. Gypsy-rose faced charges of, second degree murder, and was sentence to 10 years in prison, and was released from jail on December 28 2023 after only serving 8 years of her 10 year sentence.
