What does stress mean?
According to crossrivertherapy.com the definition of stress is “a state of mental or emotional strain or pressure caused by challenging or overwhelming situations.” In other words, it’s emotion you feel when you don’t feel good about something that happened or something you did or maybe you don’t feel good about yourself. According to the American Psychological Association, around 76% of adults report cases of stress within the past month. 45% of teenagers admit to being stressed in School.
Many students are more stressed during school than they are when they do not have school. This is because they feel like they need to do not just good in school, but be the best to accomplish their goals in life. School is a very important thing for children. It helps them learn new things and understand the things they have to know for the future. Some kids just come to school, have regular classes, and go home, but some kids come to school, have great grades and honors/ap classes and also do sports. The kids that don’t do anything feel very stressed and feel like they are being pushed to do something to be seen.
Many adults also feel like they have to be good in many things to accomplish their goals in life. Many are not ever happy with the things they have in the present, they only worry about the future. Young adults start to worry about college, money, their future job, and their family which is scary for them because they’re just now going out on their own and figuring everything out as they go.
