This year’s one-act show at Gordon Central High School is Godspell, and the cast has been working hard to bring it to life. Senior Sofia Aguilar shared her perspective on the show and what makes it special.
When I asked her to describe the show in just three words, Sofia chose fun, colorful, and inspiring.
“I would say fun, colorful, and inspiring because our big numbers in the show are always a lot of fun with everybody, and there’s a lot of fun, colored props and hopefully the story of the show can inspire people,” she said.
Of course putting together a one-act show isn’t always easy. Sofia explained both the challenges and the highlights of preparing for the performance.
“The most stressful part is having to remember all the changes we’re making because we’re changing a lot of stuff and blocking really quickly, and the most fun is just getting to be with everybody.”
With students like Sofia leading the way as the show’s dance captain, Godspell is sure to be a show filled with energy, creativity, and community. Don’t miss your chance to see Gordon Central’s one-act show this season!
