Senior Sunrise

Class of 2026 Gathers for Early Morning Bonding
Senior Sunrise

The class of 2026 started off school activities with the Senior Sunrise. Students gathered at Ratner Stadium at 6:45 a.m. on Friday, August 29, to watch the sunrise together for their senior year. Students were encouraged to bring a blanket or chair. Breakfast from Big John’s Treat Shop was provided, along with fun crafts, including creating senior crowns.

Ms. Mills is the event coordinator for Gordon Central. She puts a lot of work into planning events for students. She spends time planning, coordinating, and setting up events such as the Senior Sunrise. Mrs. Mills recalls, ā€œI’m trying to find people who want to be involved in it. And then making phone calls for breakfast, getting the check–all of the different processes. It usually takes about two or three days.ā€ Her work came to fruition on Friday when everyone enjoyed the sunrise.
