Q and A With Coach Gowan

There’s a new coach on campus–Coach Gowan! Staff reporter Kaydence Cochran sat down with Coach to ask a few questions.

Coach Gowan,  why did you become a coach?

I had good grades, never had to worry about bringing grades up. I had good education to become a coach, so when my uncle told me I should be a coach, I changed my major and became a coach.

Did you play football in high school?

Yes, I was all-state at Liberty County on offense

Describe your team:

Strappy, not typical, dysfunctional

How many wins has your team had since you became coach?

We have had four wins since I have become coach

When is your next football game?

Friday at Coosa–be there!

Is you team respectful?

Yes 1000%”

Coach Gowan teaches PE and coaches football at Gordon Central High School, and he loves his job. Coach Gowan wasn’t sure about being a coach and he never wanted to be a teacher until his uncle told him that he needed to be a teacher and he switched his major and became a teacher/coach.  Coach Gowan makes sure his team is respectful to other teams and students.
