Cassie Tucker is a freshman in the varsity team. She sat down with staff reporter Brianna Estrada to answer some questions about her volleyball career.

Q-What is a quote that inspires you to play Volleyball ?

A-My dad always told me “you can’t control what others do, you can only control yourself.” Since volleyball is a game of mistakes, it always stuck with me.

Q-What inspired you to play volleyball ?

A-My dad took me and my older sister to watch a college level volleyball game at my brother’s military college, and they had an amazing left- handed hitter. I knew immediately that’s what I needed to do.

Q-What is your mind set after loosing/ winning a game ? 

A-After a loss it can be hard to snap back quickly, but I always try to think over my mistakes and focus on fixing them at the next practice. After winning I always try to stay humble because mistakes were still made, but overall it shows the team’s hard work and determination. But I have to remember that win or lose, to stay positive because you can’t dwell on the negatives.
