Earlier this month, popular confectionery brand, Little Debbie, announced the coming of six new products: the spice-swirled Deluxe Cinnamon Roll, the Cheese Danish, Cream Cheese Streusel Cake, the rich vanilla Pound Cake, the Nutty Buddy Cake, and, the Cinnamon Streusel Cake.
“Whether for a quick breakfast, an afternoon treat, or a sweet finish to the day, these selections are sure to appeal to a wide variety of consumers,” Chuck Clevenger, the associate brand manager at McKee Foods, shared in a press release. The company decided to release these new sweet treats due to the growing demand for deluxe choices and less seasonal rebrands for fall (looking at you, pumpkin spice).
Nutty Buddy Cakes: these are a new take on the classing Nutty Buddy Bar. They come 3 in a pack, with each treat featuring a “soft yellow sponge [cake] layered with creamy peanut butter filling and coated in smooth chocolate frosting.”
The Cheese Danish: these come individually packaged, and are described as a creamy cheese topped sweet bun with delicately drizzled icing on top.
The Deluxe Cinnamon Roll: These are individually wrapped, four ounce cinnamon rolls topped with a decadent icing and features spiced dough wrapped into a overall warm, pleasing roll.
The Pound Cake: There are two square cakes in each package, and they are described as moist and dense cakes that “melt in your mouth”. They have a light vanilla flavor.
The Cream Cheese Streusel Cake: These are twin wrapped, circular cakes topped with a buttery streusel topping and cream cheese: described by Little Debbie as a “soft, sugary crunch for a rich and decadent bite.”
The Cinnamon Streusel Cake: Like the Cream Cheese Streusel Cakes, two cakes are in each package. They are coffee cakes topped with Little Debbie’s signature cinnamon crumb, which combines the flavors of cinnamon and brown sugar; creating a warm bite, perfect for fall time cravings.
These new treats are now sold in all stores and have been for about a month. If any of these sweets speak to you, I suggest you check them out. I assure you they’re all delicious.
