Starting off the “Spooky Song of the Day” is a classic almost everybody has heard.
Somebody’s Watching Me, by Rockwell, is a 1984 single featuring vocals by Micheal Jackson (though he wasn’t credited for it). It’s about a paranoid man constantly feeling like he’s being watched and followed around his home. It has become a staple for many Halloween playlists and a global hit. Rockwell and Jackson were childhood friends, and it encouraged him to sing in the chorus. The song was so influential that Jackson asked Rockwell to preform the song for his family multiple times. The single, along with the rest of the album, was released on iTunes in 2021.
My favorite lyrics:
People call me on the phone I’m trying to avoid/Well, can the people on TV see me, or am I just paranoid?
