Pet Sematary, by Ramones, is a punk rock song that was written for the movie adaptation of the same name. It follows the story of the film. Stephen King, the writer of the original book, was a huge fan of Ramones, and he invited them to his home and handed the bassist, Dee Dee Ramone, a copy of the book. An hour later, Ramone had come up with the lyrics to the song. Although this track became a radio hit, it was a nominee at the 1989 Golden Raspberry Awards (which is a parody awards show that gives awards to cinematic flops) for the Worst Original Song.
My Favorite Lyrics:
Someone cries, something ain’t right/I don’t want to be buried in a pet sematary/I don’t want to live my life again
