Back in the 2000s, clothing styles were very much different than how they are currently. I am going to compare the clothes from the 2000 to now, 2025. The bottoms that used to be huge were low rise jeans, cargo pants, and skirts. It was often paired with a crop top. Another big tread was to wear skirts or dresses over pants. People also really liked track suits and sneakers as daily wear. In the 2000 they called it the “McBling” it was where their clothes were characterized by flashy and bedazzled items.

Now currently, in 2025 their clothing choices are different. Now the style is called “Elevated Casual.” The style mostly consists of wide leg/baggy jeans. Mostly paired with a hoodie. Some also like to have tailored layers such as blazers. Most clothes that come into style or become popular, get promoted by content creators. They set most of the treads due to all the influence they have on some people via social media.
