Matilda – a rousing musical about overcoming adversity in a ‘unique’ way. GC is proud to present this musical as their competition One Act. The publics’ first chance to see their take on this story is Thursday, October 7^th at 7:00 PM. The play will run Thursday (7^th), Friday (8^th), and Saturday (9^th) with an extra matinee performance Saturday, October 9^th.

UPDATE: Due to extenuating circumstances, opening night will be postponed until Thursday, October 21st. Matilda will now play Thursday October 21st, Friday October 22nd, and Saturday October 23rd at 7:00 PM. The theatre will have an additional matinee Sunday October 24th at 3:00 PM. GCPAA apologizes for any inconveniences.

Matilda, the musical, based on the book by Roald Dahl, centers on Matilda, a precocious 5-year-old girl with the gift of telekinesis, who loves reading, overcomes obstacles caused by her family and school, and helps her teacher to reclaim her life. Through a series of obstacles and complications the story unfolds set to the music of Tim Minchin.
